Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and AllegiantVETS, a dba of Allegiant Giving Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (IRS EIN 27-4856683), and govern your use of allegiantvets.org, the AllegiantVETS member platform, partner-branded sites operated on our platform, and our community spaces, including our Discord server and Discord bot (together, the Services). By creating an account or using the Services you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

You must be at least 18 years old. Program features are intended for transitioning service members, veterans, and their approved partners and employers. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your credentials secure, and for the accuracy of the information you provide, including the military and program details our paperwork is generated from.

• AllegiantVETS is an authorized DoD SkillBridge program provider. Participation in SkillBridge is governed by DoD rules and requires your command’s approval; AllegiantVETS cannot grant that approval and is not responsible for your command’s decisions.
• Participation in our programs is training, not employment by AllegiantVETS. It does not create an employment relationship, wage entitlement, or benefits with AllegiantVETS.
• We do not guarantee job placement, employment offers, or program outcomes.
• Participants agree to meet program requirements, including daily accountability check-ins and attendance, and understand that repeated failure to meet them can end participation.
• Documents we issue for the program, such as acceptance letters and training plans, are generated for program use, carry a tamper-evident seal, and are void if altered. Changing your program dates or track can void previously issued paperwork.

You agree not to:

• Provide false information, impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your service history or eligibility.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other members, staff, employers, or community moderators.
• Post unlawful, deceptive, or discriminatory job listings, or use member information for anything other than legitimate recruiting through the platform.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-export platform data, probe or disrupt the Services, or attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
• Use the Services to send spam or unauthorized commercial messages.

Employer accounts, subscriptions, and paid features are billed as described at the time of purchase through our payment provider. Employers are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of their postings and hiring practices, including equal opportunity obligations. We may remove postings or suspend employer access that violates these terms.

You own the content you upload, such as your resume and profile. You grant AllegiantVETS a license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate the Services, including sharing it with employers and partners when you choose to. The platform itself, including our software, branding, and issued document formats, belongs to AllegiantVETS and may not be copied or reused without permission.

Parts of the Services rely on third parties, such as Coursera for coursework, Zoom for live sessions, Discord for community, and external job boards for listings. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

The Services are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, AllegiantVETS is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Services. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars or the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for violations of these terms, risks to other members or the platform, or as required by law or program rules. Program records may be retained after termination as described in our Privacy Policy.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, notify you on the platform or by email. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
