Privacy Policy

AllegiantVETS is a dba of Allegiant Giving Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps transitioning service members and veterans through the DoD SkillBridge program, career training, and employer connections. This policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use allegiantvets.org, the AllegiantVETS member platform, partner-branded sites operated on our platform, and our community spaces, including our Discord server and Discord bot.

Account information. Your name, email address, and sign-in credentials, plus profile details you choose to add such as a photo, headline, location, and skills.

Military and program information. If you apply to our programs, we collect the details needed to run them: branch of service, rank, occupation code, years of service, separation date, proposed program dates, career track, and the paperwork the program requires, including your command authorization.

Program activity. Daily check-ins and journal entries, attendance records, training hours, on-the-job training details, survey responses, and program outcomes.

Documents you upload. Resumes, signed authorizations, certificates, and files you attach to support requests.

Learning and meeting activity. Course progress reported by our learning partner (Coursera) and attendance reported by our video conferencing provider (Zoom) for program sessions.

Employer and billing information. If you use the platform as an employer, we collect organization details, team member accounts, job postings, and billing information processed by our payment provider.

Discord. If you join our Discord community or interact with our Discord bot, we may process your Discord user ID, username and server nickname, and server roles so we can connect your community membership to your program track and keep channels organized. The bot does not read private messages.

Technical information. Log data, IP address, device and browser information, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and the platform secure. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

• Operate the platform and administer our programs, including generating the DoD SkillBridge paperwork your command requires.
• Track program accountability, attendance, and training hours.
• Match members with jobs and connect them with employers when they choose to apply or connect.
• Send program communications such as approvals, reminders, and account emails.
• Provide support and respond to your requests.
• Keep the platform secure, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• Some document checks are assisted by automated tools, for example verifying that uploaded paperwork matches your program dates. Staff review the results; automated checks alone do not deny anyone participation.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only as needed to run the program:

• Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract: cloud hosting, database and file storage, email delivery, payments, video conferencing, our learning platform, and AI providers used for the document checks described above.
• Employers you apply to, connect with, or share your profile with through the platform.
• Your command and the DoD, through the paperwork the SkillBridge program requires, which you route yourself.
• Partner organizations, when you registered through a partner-branded site operated on our platform, limited to what that partner needs to run its program.
• Legal requirements, when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our members and platform.

We keep your information while your account is active and as long as needed for program records, legal, and audit obligations. Program paperwork and participation records may be retained after a program ends because the SkillBridge program requires verifiable records. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or de-identify it.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information. You can exercise most of these directly: your profile and documents are editable from your account, and you can contact us for anything else. We respond to verified requests within the time your state law requires, and we never treat you differently for exercising a privacy right.

To make a privacy request, email info@allegiantvets.org. You can also unsubscribe from non-essential email using the link in the message.

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls that limit staff access to what their role requires, and tamper-evident sealing on the documents we issue. No system is perfectly secure, so we also encourage you to use a strong, unique password.

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and the platform is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where the change is significant, notify you on the platform or by email.
